History

Perth and District Badminton Association was formed in 1949. At one time, there were 38 teams playing in 6 Divisions. Currently we now have 14 teams playing in 2 Divisions.

League matches are played at the main venue of North Inch Community Campus, and secondary venue of Bankfoot Community Church, on Wednesday nights from October to March each year.

At the height of play, we had an excellent coaching set-up producing many players who became full or junior internationalists.

The Association has ran junior, senior and Open Championships for many years including the Bell’s Whisky Championships from 1975 – 1989 which attracted some of the best players in the World.
